To mark the 60th anniversary of the idea of a united Europe, during the European Week from 5 to 9 May events dedicated to the European Union were held all over Latvia. On 9 May 2010 in the Garden Festival in Vērmanes dārzs, everybody who were interested had an opportunity to get a glimpse in traditions of the European Union member states, as well as to learn more on learning and higher education opportunities.
